It matters where you’re planted

Some pumpkin seeds from last season germinated happily in small pots. Soon needing space, they ended up in three different locations- the chosen rich well prepared garden plot, a rough garden bed sapped of goodness by big gumtrees, and a few were randomly left in the small pots. Weeks later, this is the result. Surely it matters where we are planted!

Struggling to survive in depleted, arid soil.
The right location with well prepared soil. Only four plants but each plant is some metres in length, flowering and small pumpkins forming.
Flowering…
Lush…
Fruitful… a baby pumpkin… hope for some good pumpkin soup next winter.
